What Clients Say

Both service and the food are outstanding! The dining time is limited to 90mins but it's pretty sufficient. Their banchan are great, especially, the shrimp cake. I ordered their appetizer fish one and I highly recommend that. Aside from those we ordered a soon tofu and dolsot bibimbap. Personally I think the bibimbap is more special compared to soon tofu. But overall it's a great experience and we are likely coming back.

Quite pricy but worth it. We got a beef rib stew, cold noodles, and beef bone soup with tendons. The beef rib stew seemed smaller than other places but I like how they put in different kinds of vegetables. The beef is braised thoroughly, flavorful and very soft. On the other hand, the cold noodles portion was very generous. The soup tasted really refreshing with slices of pear for extra texture and sweetness. Their kimchi side dishes are prolly my favorite. They were crunchy and savory. Side note: We arrived when they just opened, and got in right away. But when we finished, there seems to be many people waiting.

The food was delicious and all the servers were very kind. I especially liked how quickly the food came out, and the complimentary Yakult at the end was a nice touch that brought a bit of Korean sentiment.

I came to Kunjip specifically for their famed Seol Leong Tang, but walked away super impressed by their kimchi, Galbi Jjim, and Bibim Naeng Myun! Everything was so flavorful and tasted authentic. This is probably my favorite non-BBQ Korean restaurant in the South Bay. Friendly and efficient service. Free parking lot that fills up fast, and parking spots are narrow.

As a Korean, I can confidently say this place is the real deal. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the cozy, bustling atmosphere of a true Korean eatery—complete with Korean aunties (ajummas) moving quickly between tables, making sure everyone is well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious. The galbijjim (braised short ribs) was perfectly spicy and full of flavor. Every dish felt like it was made with care, and the quality of the ingredients really came through. The side dishes (banchan) were outstanding—especially the kimchi, which was so good it reminded me of home. In Korea, we say that if a place makes good kimchi, they do everything well—and this place proves it. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but well worth it. I had such a satisfying and nostalgic experience here, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

The most impressive food is the Galbi Tang. Beef short rib soup with clear noodles, green onion, dried jujube, sliced egg.
